Quints Joins CRC On Loan

Midfielder Darren Quinton has joined CRC on a month's loan, while Stephen Smith's loan ends with CRC's match on Tuesday evening.
Although the CRC side is essentially United's reserve side and mainly comprised of first and second year scholars, it is a separate entity from Cambridge United and therefore - like Stephen Smith last month - Darren Quinton has completed a 28-day loan to CRC to gain some regular match practice.
His experience will hopefully have the same influence on the youngsters as Stephen Smith, who has featured in every CRC match in the Ridgeon's League for the last month, including their second and third wins of the season at Stanway Rovers and at Harwich & Parkeston last weekend.

'Smudger' has also scored two goals during his loan spell, which has seen the youngsters lift themselves off the bottom of the Ridgeon's Premier League table.
Darren will play his first CRC match this evening at Dereham Town, which is the final game of Stephen's loan.
CRC are at home at the Abbey Stadium this Saturday against Needham Market so of you're not travelling to Woking to support the first team, your support for CRC at the Abbey at 3pm will be very welcome. Admission prices are £5 (which includes a programme) or £2 for concessions (no programme).
