Fishing Day Success

Ian Darler recently hosted another successful angling match and raised funds for essential radio equipment.

Fishing competition winner Darren MansfieldThe competition took place in heavy rain at a lake in Longstanton, the use of which was donated for teh day by Cambridge Fish Preservation Angling Society.

The overall winner was Darren Mansfield (pictured), runner-up was David Seal, and Gary Chandler was third.

"There was a good turn out of anglers, who stuck at it in terrible weather - the rain was lashing down most of the day," commented Stadium Manager Ian Darler.

"But it was a good day for all who took part and raised funds for essential radio equipment for stewards of match days."

Ian also thanked the event sponsors, Simpers Ltd.
