Ian Darler recently hosted another successful angling match and raised funds for new goal nets and stewards' radio equipment.

The competition took place in June at Mepal, Ely, before a three course meal at the venue in The Three Pickerills pub.

The overall winner was Craig Rayner (above, centre), runner-up was Gary Chandler (above, left), and third was Darren Mansfield.

The best fish of the day was caught by Gary Chandler (below).

"It was a good day for all who took part," commented Stadium Manager Ian Darler, "and the funds raised have been spent on new goal nets and radio equipment for the stewards."

Ian thanked the event sponsors, Malcolm Peacock of Arthur Peacock & Sons, Simpers, Coopers & Son, and Mick Dant.
