Moving Forwards: United in Endeavour
The interior and exterior refurbishment and renovation of the Club Shop has been progressing well in recent weeks, and Cambridge United would like to thank the army of volunteers who have helped to date.
The Club took over the management of the shop last month following the termination of the contract with Vandanel Sports. As you can see from the pictures below, the exterior has been transformed thanks to U's fan Gary Stroud, who kindly provided the paint and materials for the work, and young supporters Matt Phillips, Stuart Baker and James Denton who came in and did the painting.

Fans Director Colin Proctor and VP Member Chris Smith have been working on the interior refit which includes a re-positioning of the counter, erection of new walls for the display of stock and new flooring courtesy of Ron Twinn from Florstor. Mick Collis, pictured below, has also been on hand to help with the electrical work and re-pointing.

Clive Jones and Caitlin Boast have been on hand to organise the stock room and make arrangements for the remaining items of Vandanel branded stock to be sold outside the shop before the U's pre-season matches with Colchester and Leyton Orient. The stock will be heavily discounted and all items must go, so make sure you take the time to stop by and pick up a bargain!
Cambridge United would again like to express it's thanks to all of the supporters who have helped with the renovation of the Club Shop, which will be completed in time for the first home match of the season against Crawley on 17 August, when we hope all of the new Errea stock, including home and away replica shirts, will be in.
