Walk for Change DVD

Posted on: Fri 16 Jul 2010

Throughout the Walk for Change, U's Director of Football Jez George kept a video diary documenting the highs and lows of his 410-mile trek.

Jez was joined on legs of his walk by numerous people, including Soccer AM's Max Rushden on day one and United management duo Martin Ling and Paul Carden. The Walk culminated in a 'All-Star' game on Monday 10 May which featured former U's legends Dave Kitson and Dion Dublin amongst other high profile personalities.

Jez's gruelling Walk took him from Wrexham to Wembley via York, Mansfield, Rushden, Luton and Oxford in a bid to highlight the inequality in youth funding outside the Football League. Blogs and photographs from the Walk are available on Jez's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/jez.george.walk.for.change

To date Jez has raised almost £60,000 to fund the Youth Development department for a further 12 months.

The DVD features the ups and downs of Jez's campaign, as well as video interviews with Robbie Simpson, Jack Collison, Dave Kitson and Max Rushden, along with current U's players such as Rory McAuley and Josh Coulson. View the trailer here.

DVD's are priced just £5 and all profits go to Cambridge United Youth Development.
