Cambridge United manager Martin Ling has spoken to cambridgeunited.com this afternoon, giving an update on the situation regarding out-of-contract players Danny Crow, Dan Gleeson and Brian Saah as he looks to finalise his squad for the 2010/11 season.
He explained, "Dan Gleeson is in talks with another Club today and I fully expect him to be leaving the Abbey, even though it's not a done deal quite yet.
"Brian Saah has ten days to respond to his offer and having spoken to him this morning, he wants to make sure he picks the correct option for himself as a player and as a family man. He gave me no indication that his best option wouldn't be here with us.
"Danny Crow, like Brian, still has ten days to respond to his offer and I do expect there will be other clubs interested in him."
Martin went on, "I will wait until I get a decision from these three players before making my next move in the transfer market.
"I know that I need five players to finish off the squad. How many new players come in will depend on how many of those five gaps are filled by the players under offer."
Martin concluded, "I have full confidence that should all three players chose to take other avenues, we will be signing players of equivalent abilities to take the club forwards."
