Steve Claridge returned to the Club last night for the second Sporting Dinner of the season at the Supporters Club.
The evening, attended by over 100 guests, was hosted by Soccer AM's Max Rushden. U's Legend Claridge, who made over 132 appearances and scored 46 goals during two spells at the Club, regaled guests with tales from his time here.
Director of Football Jez George was also in attendance to give an update on his Walk for Change, which saw a further £1500 pledged towards the cause and offers of assistance and promotional support. It was also revealed that Max will be joining Jez on a leg of the walk, which starts next month.

There were some fantastic raffle prizes on offer, tickets for home matches at Manchester United and Arsenal, which saw over £1000 raised on the night, providing some much needed financial support to help us build a platform to return the Club to the Football League.
The Club would like to thank all who attended and made it such a great evening. The next opportunity for fans to enjoy a similar event will be at the Walk for Change 'All Star' match on Monday 10 May, when we expect there will be a few surprises on the night!
