Cambridge United Football Club has a proud reputation for producing young players who have then moved up the footballing pyramid such as Jack Collison (West Ham United), Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (to Manchester United now Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Michael Morrison (Leicester City). Successful players on the Scholarship Experience could join the likes of Rory McAuley, Sam Ives, Josh Coulson, Adam Marriott, Jordan Patrick, Darryl Coakley, Blaine Hudson and Luke Berry who have graduated from the scholarship scheme into the 1st team squad.

This summer we are offering a unique footballing experience for players wishing to gain entry into professional football where successful players will be invited to attend a 9 day Residential Experience with the chance to gain a scholarship place.

This fantastic experience will include coaching by the Youth Department staff, a tour to Ireland, a strength training programme, training kit and accommodation with full board. Any Players successful on the 9 day Experience will then be invited to stay FREE of charge for an additional month to spend pre-season with the scholars, including a tour to the Czech Republic. As a result of this any successful players will be offered a full scholarship with the Club.

This Experience is only for boys in current Year 11 (01/09/1993 - 31/08/94)  and Year 12 (01/09/1992 - 31/8/93)

Initial trials will be held on Friday 9th April.

To gain a trial all applicants should send a covering letter, their footballing CV and a cheque for £20 (payable to Cambridge United Youth Development) to:

Successful trialists on the 9th April will take part in the 9 day experience from Saturday 26th June until Sunday 4th July.
