MATCH OFF
The U's FA Trophy tie with Eastbourne Borough has been postponed due to bad weather and health and safety issues.
The fixture was due to be played on Saturday 9 January; however recent weather conditions have meant the game has been called off.
As reported on www.cambridgeunited.com earlier today, a pitch inspection was scheduled for Friday afternoon, but special dispensation was granted by The FA to allow the inspection to be brought forward by 24 hours.
Local referee, Keith Hill (below), has deemed the surface unplayable due to being frozen and covered in snow. Water pipes are also frozen around the ground, including in the North and Habbin terraces resulting in no tea bar or toilet facilities being functional.

The game has been rearranged for Tuesday 12 January at 7.45pm. All pre-paid tickets will be valid for the new date.
A precautionary pitch inspection will take place on Monday ahead of the scheduled replay.
The fixture is not all ticket, and prices are £12 adults, £8 concessions and £4 for under 16s in all areas of the ground.
