Young U's in Youth Cup Action on Tuesday

Posted on: Mon 02 Nov 2009

Cambridge United Under 18s travel to local rivals Histon on Tuesday 3rd November in the First Round proper of the FA Youth Cup.

The match will be played at Histon's Glassworld Stadium, kick off 7.45pm. The tie must be decided on the night, with extra time and penalties if necessary. Admission is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions (OAPs and students) and £1 for under 16s.

Jez George's young U's, including hotly tipped scholars such as Blaine Hudson and Luke Berry, have won their four qualifying games without conceding a goal. It is the fourth consecutive season that they have reached the "proper" stages of the competition.

The draw for the Second Round is made prior to the game, on Tuesday lunchtime.
