Cambridge United are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Suffolk-based S & N Cladding, which will see parts of the stadium transformed in the coming months.

Phase one of the project will start early next year when the Newmarket Road End and entrance turnstiles will be completely re-clad to bring them into the 21st Century.

Phase two will take place over the close-season and will involve the Newmarket Road toilet block undergoing a refurbishment, reinforcement, re-cladding and having the roof taken off and replaced with a 'Green' roof, something S & N Cladding have been promoting the benefits of for many years. The upgraded facilities will be open in time for the start of the 2010/11 season.

The concept of ecological awareness within planted green roof designs is becoming a reality in the UK with the positive effects of a green roof system on the environment too important to ignore. With a growing number of Green Party Councillors being elected in the local area, Cambridge United are excited about putting ecological issues on the map at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.
