U's goalkeeper Danny Potter will wear a pair of pink gloves for Saturday's match against Luton Town in support of breast cancer awareness campaigns.
Danny's gloves are all designed by Glen Johnson, his former number two at Canvey Island, who went from playing in goal to designing gloves for professional goalkeepers.
Having sadly lost his mum to breast cancer while still a baby, Glen and Fulham keeper David Stockdale, who has also lost family members to cancer, were inspired to design pink gloves to help raise the awareness of breast cancer throughout the country.
When the idea was put to Danny, he was only too happy to support the fundraising.
United's number 1 commented, "Most people have been affected by cancer in some way, whether it's a member of their family, a close friend or just someone they know.
"I've lost people in my family to cancer, so I'm keen to help Glen with his bid to raise awareness and hopefully go a little way towards funding the research to finally beat it."
The special breast cancer gloves can be purchased from www.pro-gk.com for £30, and a percentage of all sales will go to a breast cancer charity. A limited number of pairs will also be available to buy at United's club shop.
