The Football Conference has issued the following statement regarding Salisbury City and Farsley Celtic.

BLUE SQUARE PREMIER - The Board of Directors has received verbal confirmation of Salisbury City Football Club's application to enter Administration being approved by the High Court on Thursday 3rd September 2009. In accordance with Membership Rule 14 the Club will, subject to its right of Appeal, incur a deduction of 10 points.

BLUE SQUARE NORTH - The Administrator of Farsley Celtic Football Club Limited has also verbally confirmed to the Board of the Football Conference that, following the withdrawal of a potential purchaser of the Club, it has not been possible to complete a sale. There being insufficient funds coming into the Club, the Throstle's Nest Ground has been closed. Farsley Celtic's fixture against Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday 5th September 2009 has been postponed.

The longer term future of the Club will be considered by the Conference Board when more detailed information is received from the Administrator.
