With the pre-season campaign drawing to a close, there are two games remaining for new manager Martin Ling to see his players in action before the season's opener at home to Barrow on 8th August.
The first is the match at St. Ives Town on Saturday at 3pm. Ambitious new chairman Ashley Griffiths is aiming high and wants his side to emulate Histon in rising from their current level to the top of the non-league pyramid.
"We want to create a club that the community can be proud of," he said earlier this month. "Histon were at the level we're at now ten years ago and we want to emulate their achievements - they've shown it's possible.
"I think next season should see us surpass the achievements of last season. I think we've got the players, the team spirit and the supporters to do it."
The Hereward Teamwear United Counties League, Premier Division club plays at Westwood Road, St.Ives, Cambridgeshire PE27 6DT and you can find directions to the ground here. The admission prices are adults £4, concessions £2, and FREE for Under-16s. Martin Ling has already indicated that he will take a strong side for this match.
Then on Monday evening it's back to the R Costings Abbey Stadium for the Cambs Professional Cup final against Histon (kick off 7.45pm). Admission prices are adults £10, concessions £7 and £5 for under-16s. The Main Stand and Newmarket Road End will be open to home fans, the South Stand for Histon fans.
Before either of those matches, Cambridge United's scholars entertain Blackburn Rovers' youth team at the Abbey on Friday evening (kick off 7pm).

This match was kindly arranged with Blackburn Rovers following youngster Jackson Ramm's move from Cambridge United. Tickets are just £4 per adult and £2 per child, which can be purchased in advance through the Youth Development office during office hours or on the night.
This match is a showcase for our Youth Development Scheme and it would be great if we could attract a large crowd to support the evening.
