Rolls: Update on Managerial Situation
George Rolls has told cambridgeunited.com that there will be no managerial appointment for at least eight days.
With the rumour mill spinning and plenty of speculation about likely replacements for Gary Brabin, who was relieved of his duties on Monday and has agreed compensation for the remainder of his contract, the U's Chairman felt it important to deliver an update about the current state of play.
"We've been sifting through all the applicants and we have now started the interview process, but we're not going to rush things and I can tell the supporters that there won't be an appointment this week.
"It will be the following week at the earliest and it could be longer than that - we want to get it right," stressed Rolls.
"As a board we are keen to see as many applicants as possible and it won't be just one interview; we could have three or four interviews with the same person because we want to make sure it's the right decision."
