Cambridge United has granted permission for Gary Brabin to hold talks with a Football League club.

Chairman George Rolls has confirmed that an approach was received from a club in a league position "quite a lot higher than we are" and the club has granted permission for Brabin to hold talks with the club.

Brabin was appointed manager in June last year and guided the U's to second in the league this season.
