Exclusive: Bartlett Joins U's On Loan
Kidderminster Harriers goalkeeper Adam Bartlett is joining Cambridge United on a short-term loan as experienced cover for Danny Potter ahead of Sunday's Blue Square Premier Play-off Final.
The 23-year-old England 'C' international was outstanding against United in all three meetings this season, restricting United to a 2-1 win in our first home game, denying the U's almost single-handedly in our 1-0 FA Cup defeat there in November, and keeping the score down to 3-1 in our 'hoodoo'-breaking first Aggborough win in February.
Adam started his career as a trainee at Newcastle United, signing for Blyth Spartans in 2005 when he was released by the Magpies, and moving to Kidderminster Harriers on an initial one-year deal last summer. He joined up with our squad on Friday and has been allocated squad number 20.
