Team News

Striker Danny Crow was stretchered off with concussion during last Saturday's home game and missed Monday's win at Kettering, but he undertook some light training on Thursday after a check with the doctor, and if he suffers no ill effects he could step up his training.

Most of the squad had two days off after Monday's game, and defender Phil Bolland was able to join them for training on Thursday after treatment for a hamstring strain. He could be in the frame for selection but will be assessed again after training on Friday.

Bolland's place in the team has been taken by Josh Coulson and Gary Brabin praised the 20-year-old for his form, saying, "It's a big plus to have Bolly back in training but Josh has done brilliantly. He's done well all season and he's come into the side and done himself no harm.

"It's too early to talk about team selection," he added. "We'll assess everyone on Friday and see who's fit, who's got knocks and bumps and I'll make my selection then."

Brabin feels that Salisbury will provide just as tough a game as recent play-off chasing opponents, pointing out that the pressure is off for the mid-table side and they can play with confidence tomorrow in front of their home fans.

But he also played down talk of catching leaders Burton if they lose their last two games and United win ours.

"It's definitely the case that people become mathematicians at this stage of the season, looking at all the other teams and working out the 'what ifs', but I'm not getting carried away because what Burton are doing is their own problem and we just need to concentrate on ourselves.

"There's no pressure on us. We've got back to our momentum again and if we can apply ourselves the way we have all season, I'm confident we can get another three points tomorrow."
