Blue Square have announced the "Manager of the Month" awards for February, and Gary Brabin is the Blue Square Premier winner after an unbeaten month that included four wins on the road.

United claimed 13 points from a possible 15 during the period to consolidate their place in the Blue Square Premier play-off positions. Brabin would have been forgiven for fearing the February schedule, which sent his side on four consecutive road trips after a winless away run of eleven matches.

That sequence was ended at Rushden & Diamonds with a 2-1 win on the first day of the month and was followed up with wins at Kidderminster, Lewes and Grays. Brabin's side drew their only home match against Crawley 1-1 on the final day of the month.

In the Blue Square South the award goes to Hampton & Richmond Borough manager Alan Devonshire. Hampton won all five of their league matches during the month as they chased AFC Wimbledon and Chelmsford City at the top of the table. Their run included impressive away wins at Bath City and Worcester City.

Micky Mellon from Fleetwood Town has won the award in the Blue Square North. Fleetwood moved into the top half of the table with three home wins and a draw away at Solihull Moors. Mellon, who took over in September, is a former player with West Bromwich Albion, Tranmere Rovers and Blackpool.
