Parkinson Loan Extended
Andy Parkinson's loan to CRC has been extended by a month, subject to a 24-hour recall clause.
The winger's initial one-month loan to United's reserve/development side expired this week, and it was thought that he would be available for selection for United again, beginning with tomorrow's game at home to Crawley.
Having been sidelined since the opening game of the season with a ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament, which required surgery and extensive rehabilitation, a one-month loan to CRC was set up at the start of this month and he made a goalscoring comeback on Saturday in CRC's win at home to Woodbridge Town.
He completed 65 minutes with no ill-effects, but after further assessment and consultation with physio Greg Reid it was decided that Andy would benefit from more time on the pitch before being considered for the first team.
The former Tranmere, Grimsby and Notts County winger is therefore likely to feature in CRC's match at Walsham-le-Willows on Saturday and possibly in next Tuesday's match at home to Needham Market, at which time the recall clause may be triggered to make him eligible for a first team comeback next weekend.
