Paul Carden's magnificent strike against Oxford United two weeks ago has been selected as one of the contenders in the Blue Square Goal of the Month competition.

In the 72nd minute, with United trailing to Adam Murray's ninth minute strike, Cardy drifted in from the left, looked up, and unleashed an unstoppable equaliser past the previous unbeatable Billy Turley and into the far top corner.

Paul is joined on the list of nominations by Richard Brodie of York City, Jason Walker of Barrow, Marc Goodfellow of Burton, and Stevenage striker Steve Morison.
