Cambridge United's Youth Development Department will be holding trials for boys in various age groups for the 2008/09 season. The trials will take place at Development Centres throughout the local area next week - full details below.
We pride ourselves on recruiting the best young footballers in the area to help them with their development from an early age.
If you were offered a place in this scheme, it would involve weekly training sessions, tournaments in school holidays and some matches. Most importantly, it allows you to still play for your Mini League Club. There may also be the opportunity of trials for our Centre of Excellence.
The trials take place at the following venues, on the dates and for the specific age groups shown.
Sawston Development Centre
Monday 1st December 2008 - Sawston Village College
5.00pm - 6.00pm for children in year 1, 2 & 3 this academic year (U6,U7,U8)

Wednesday 3rd December - Thurston Drive, astroturf
Times:
4.00pm - 5.00pm for children who will be U6, U7, U8 for the 2008/09 season (born between 1st September 2000 and 31st August 2003)
5.00pm - 6.00pm for children who will be U9, U10 for the 2008/09 season (born between 1st September 1998 and 31st August 2000)
6.00pm - 7.00pm for children who will be U11, U12 for the 2008/09 season (born between 1st September 1996 and 31st August 1998)

7.00pm - 8.00pm for children in year 6 this academic year (U11)

What you need: Moulded Boots or trainers, shin pads, water bottle, suitable clothing
Confirmation of your place on the trial will not be sent. You will ONLY be contacted if you are too late and we are at maximum capacity.
Although there is no charge for this trial, you will not able to just turn up and play. You must return the relevant application form (above) to Tom Pell, Cambridge United Youth Development, Trade Recruitment Stadium, Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LN.
