With Courtney Pitt's rehabilitation progressing well following his August knee operation, the way has been paved for the next stage of his return to playing matches.

Having recently spent a week a Lilleshall and progressed his training to running drills, Courtney has signed loan forms to make him eligible for youth/reserve side CRC, who play in the Ridgeons Premier League.

Manager Gary Brabin stressed that Pitt is not ready yet to play yet, and explained that the loan move has been set up as a "precaution" because any initial loan must run for a minimum of 28 days before the player can be recalled.

"We're hoping he will be ready to play in a game or two for CRC in a few weeks, which will help his rehab," Brabin commented.

"He's doing well, but he's been out a long time and we don't have a normal reserve side so this loan will help him out and hopefully help the CRC lads too."
