Gleeson For England

Dan Gleeson is included in the 16-man England C squad to play Italy C next month.

The match is in Group A of the International Challenge Trophy and takes place in Italy on Wednesday 12th November. This fixture will be the group decider, with England within a point of qualifying for the International Challenge Trophy final.

Gleeson had to withdraw injured from Paul Fairclough's previous England C squad in September, when they travelled to Bosnia and lost their first match in four years.

Former U's trainee James Smith, now with Ebbsfleet, and ex-Cambridge City and United midfielder Josh Simpson are also included in the squad:

Lance Cronin (Ebbsfleet United), Adam Bartlett (Kidderminster Harriers), James Smith (Ebbsfleet United), Carl Tremarco (Wrexham), Dan Gleeson (Cambridge United), Exodus Geohaghan (Kettering Town), Russell Penn (Kidderminster Harriers), Michael Bostwick (Stevenage Borough), Josh Simpson (Histon), Jon Paul Pitman (Crawley Town), Antonio Murray (Histon), James Constable (Oxford United), Mitchell Cole (Stevenage Borough), Shaun Harrad (Burton Albion), Greg Pearson (Burton Albion), Jake Wright (Crawley Town).
