Junior U's Partners Renew Support
The popular membership club was relaunched in February 2007 led by supporters trust Cambridge Fans United, and membership continues to surge towards 2,000.
Will Jones from the CFU Trust Board enthused, "The success of the Junior U's is staggering. Membership is now well in excess of 1,500, making it one of the largest Junior Membership organisations in the country.
"We are absolutely over the moon that the Funky Fun House and Staples are continuing to support the scheme for a further year as their partnership is essential to meet the planned growth. In monetary terms their support is worth many thousands of pounds and we hope it will enable us to push on and meet our key target of 3,000 members by 2010."
Christian Dyke, General Manager of Staples, seen here with CFU Vice Chairman Gary Atyes, was pleased to confirm that the Newmarket Road store will continue their support for the scheme, which includes the printing of all the membership packs, birthdays cards, applications forms and newsletters.
Christian explained, "We are very pleased to be involved with CFU, the Junior U's and Cambridge United. Schemes like this are so important to the local community and Staples are extremely proud to lend their ongoing support."
Susie Willis from The Funky Fun House was just as pleased to be able to confirm The Funky Fun House's ongoing partnership. She commented, "We are delighted to be able to continue our support of the Junior U's and will once again look forward to welcoming many hundreds of members and their families to the Christmas Parties in December."
