Gary Brabin's injury headache eased slightly today with the news that Felino Jardim is responding well to treatment on his ankle and should be available for selection for Saturday's match at home to Wrexham.

There is better news too of Danny Brown, who has missed pre-season and the opening weeks of the campaign following a shoulder operation in the summer.

Physio Greg Reid told cambridgeunited.com, "Danny has successfully completed his rehab and he has been cleared by the shoulder specialist to return to competitive matchplay."

That 'all-clear' came on Tuesday afternoon, and with his squad stretched by the current injury list and suspensions, Gary Brabin included Brown as an unused substitute at Ebbsfleet.

His operation took place three weeks ago to repair damage to the joint and cartilage, and Greg reported, "He has moved onto the next stage of his rehab and we have been mobilising his knee within the range of motion guidelines set by his surgeon."

Finally, Greg confirmed that Dan Gleeson has sustained a medial collateral knee ligament injury which will sideline him for two to three weeks.
