Everton Tickets Update

Posted on: Mon 07 Jul 2008

Tickets for our home pre-season friendly match against Everton on Saturday 19th July are selling well and supporters wishing to sit in the Main Stand are advised to purchase their tickets in advance if they wish to buy seats together. Seats that were reserved for Season Ticket holders until last week are now on general sale.

Early interest in the match is very encouraging and indeed Everton supporters have already snapped up 1,100 of the 1,400 seats available for them in the South Stand, so there should be a good atmopshere in the ground for our first home pre-season match.

Tickets are also on sale for our home games against Coventry City and West Ham on July 26th and 30th respectively. The admission prices for all three home games are in line with next season's admission pricing structure, however there are some great savings to be made if you purchase a ticket in advance for more than one match.

A ticket for the Everton match entitles you to purchase tickets for the Coventry City and West Ham matches at half price. For example, if you purchase a £16 Main Stand ticket for the Everton match you can then buy a similar ticket for the West Ham game for just £8. Or, after buying your £16 Everton ticket you could spend another £16 on half price tickets for both the West Ham and Coventry games!

In addition, if you purchase a ticket in advance for the West Ham game at the full price, you will be entitled to a half price ticket for the Coventry match. Junior U's can pre-purchase all three friendlies for just £5.

These three matches should prove good tests for Gary Brabin's squad as they prepare for the 2008/09 Blue Square Premier campaign. All three visitors will bring strong sides, starting with an Everton team that will be competing in next season's UEFA Cup and include new England cap Phil Jagielka amongst a star-studded squad of internationals.

The match against Coventry on July 26th sees the return of Robbie Simpson to the Trade Recruitment Stadium. Simpson may have only played one season for the U's - but what a season it was! From January 27th 2007 to the end of that season, he netted an extraordinary 17 goals in 18 games - a sequence that ensured United's survival in the top flight of Conference football and should guarantee him a very warm welcome.

Tickets are on sale now from the Ticket Office in person or by telephone on 01223 566500.

All three of the visiting clubs have been allocated the South Stand.
