Goalkeeper Danny Potter was named Player of the Year and is included in the England C squad for the Four Nations later this month, but like the rest of United's players he won't be happy unless the U's get promoted.
Reflecting on the season so far, he says, "We've made it hard for ourselves - when you look back at the number of points we've dropped over the course of the season it's frustrating.
"Like every team we've had our ups and downs but we've got the team spirit, we've finished strongly, and to finish second is fantastic. But obviously the season isn't over and we need to finish it off and we won't be happy unless we get promoted."
Pottsy knows we face tough opponents in Burton Albion and warns, "They're very hard to break down and they don't concede many goals. They're very solid and they have Kevin Poole who is a very good, experienced goalkeeper.
"They've got goals in them from all over the park as well as their strikers, so these games are going to be a case of us keeping them at bay and playing our own game. If we can keep their front two quiet we know we've got the quality to win."
A goalkeeper who enjoys banter and a good rapport with home and away supporters all over the country, Danny admits the United supporters have earned a special place in his heart in the last season.
"They've been great all season," he says, and adds, "and it's not the Gaffer telling us to say that, it's what we really believe.

"They really spur us on and that's why I like to kick towards the Newmarket Road End in the second half because I know if anything does go wrong in the first half then they will practically suck the ball into the goal for us in the second half.
"The fans make a massive difference and you really notice it, especially as a keeper playing right in front of them. We had over 7,000 here for the Histon game and I'm sure there will be another massive crowd here tonight and a great atmosphere."
