Delighted to be fit again and enjoying a run in the side, U's captain Danny Brown can't wait for tonight's Play-off Semi-final at home to Burton Albion.
With the scores even and everything to be decided by tonight's game, the 27-year-old admits, "It's been a hellish season for me.
"It's been stop-start with injuries and at one point it didn't look like I was going to play again this season, so for me to come into the side now and get a run of games and put in some good performances, this would probably be the high point for me.
"My main aim was always to try to bring some glory days back to this football club and win something, and I'm really enjoying myself at the moment. We've got that winning mentality now and we look like a solid outfit, and we go into games thinking that we're going to destroy teams."
After spending much of the season in the treatment room, the games just can't come quick enough for 'Browny' and he says the players are keen to lock horns with the Brewers.
"The Gaffer has told us that whatever has happened in the league is now irrelevant; this is a knock-out competition and people either sink or swim. You can literally have one bad game and that could mess up the whole season, so you have to be gung-ho and go for the win."
Urging the club's twelfth man to play their part again after their sterling support all season, not least at Burton on Friday, Danny adds, "They've been great all season; they're very vocal and passionate, and I know it's a cliché but they have been like an extra man at times.

"They must be very intimidating for the other teams and it's brilliant, although sometimes I think it motivates the other teams because they want to stick it to you when they see the atmosphere we've got going on here!
"But the fans definitely drive us on and I'm sure they'll be fantastic again tonight."
