Cambridge Fans United (CFU) have agreed to pay the admission fee of up to 200 children and students under the age of 18 travelling to support the U's at Droylsden on Saturday, 5th April.

CFU hope the amazing offer will ensure the U's support will make up the majority of the crowd at the Butchers Arms and provide the backing to sing the team to three points, which would cement their place inside the Blue Square Premier play-off zone.

CFU Marketing Spokesman Will Jones enthused, "Last season CFU were able to provide subsidised coach travel to Aldershot, for one of the most important games in Cambridge United's history as we avoided relegation to regionalised football.

"Now, just a year later, we are at the other end of the table fighting for promotion back to the Football League. We are thrilled and very proud to once again provide an offer which we hope will boost the support at a vital game and help the U's reach the play-offs."

The U's will also receive an especially colourful welcome onto the pitch thanks to local printing firm Cambridge Print Solutions, who have arranged for the industrial shredding of over a quarter of a tonne of biodegradable yellow paper to give the team a spectacular ticker-tape reception before kick off.

All under 16s and students under the age of 18 will need to provide identification and proof of age at the special 'CFU' turnstile to gain free admission. The offer is subject to availability and limited to the first 200 children/students gaining admission to the away end on the day. After this point, the normal concession price of £5 will apply.
