FA Trophy 3rd Round Draw

Posted on: Wed 16 Jan 2008

An away tie at Burton Albion awaits the winners of Wednesday's rearranged FA Trophy second round tie at Histon.

The match will take place on Saturday 2nd February at 3pm and the full draw is as follows:

Burton Albion v Histon or Cambridge United
Aldershot Town v Braintree Town or Workington
Farsley Celtic or Alfreton Town v York City or Grays Athletic
Stafford Rangers v Tamworth
Crawley Town v Droylsden
AFC Wimbledon v Torquay United
Bishop's Stortford or Halifax Town v Rushden & Diamonds

Dates of the subsequent rounds are as follows:
Fourth Round Proper Saturday 23 February 2008
Semi Final 1 Saturday 8 March 2008
Semi Final 2 Saturday 15 March 2008
Final Saturday 10 May 2008 at Wembley Stadium

There is £5,000 of prize money at stake on Wednesday, which increases to £6,000 for third round winners, £8,000 for fourth round winners, £16,000 for the semi-final winners, £25,000 for the losing finalists and £50,000 for the winners at Wembley.

As confirmed here earlier today, Wednesday's match is no longer all-ticket so any fans wishing to attend can pay on the turnstiles. However if you wish to buy in advance, tickets are on sale from the Abbey Stadium ticket office [article].

Should a second round replay be required, it will take place at the Abbey Stadium on Tuesday 22nd January and normal admission prices will apply. The Junior U's discount would not apply for this game, and Season Ticket holders are reminded that admission to cup games is not included in their season ticket.

Likewise, should Wednesday's match at Histon again fall victim to bad weather, the game will take place at Histon on that date (Tuesday 22nd January).

If neither a rearrangement or a replay is required, Tuesday 22nd January will see the visit of Droylsden for our home Blue Square Premier match, which was scheduled for tomorrow evening (Tuesday 15th) but must be rearranged as FA Trophy fixtures take precedence over the league programme.

Our away league match at Crawley scheduled for Saturday 2nd February must also be rearranged due to Crawley's progression to the Third Round of the FA Trophy.
