New Away Shirt Unveiled
Cambridge United have unveiled the new away kit and for the next two seasons the U's will wear a white away shirt with black and amber trim, as requested by many supporters.
Kershaw Group has announced it will continue to sponsor Cambridge United's away shirts for another two years, extending their sponsorship to a record seventh and eighth years, while Anglia Accommodation will continue with their sponsorship of the back of the away shirt and shorts for third and fourth seasons.
The Kershaw sponsorship sets an impressive local record and Kershaw Group's chairman Eddie Bird said, "The deal means that Kershaw Group will be the longest-serving sponsor in Cambridge United's history. It shows our continuing commitment to football in our city.
"This is an exciting and critical time for the U's. Everyone at Kershaw Group is fully behind the club and we wanted to show that by putting our money where our mouth is for another two years."
Cambridge United's general manager Heather Wilkanowski added, "Kershaw have been fantastic supporters, not only of Cambridge United but of local football generally for many years, and we are delighted that they are extending their shirt sponsorship with us for the seventh and eight year.
"Their shirt sponsorship is certainly the longest one in our history and there are only a handful of longer term deals throughout the country, which demonstrates just how valuable their support is to a club like ours. We have built up an excellent working relationship with Kershaw over the years and are looking forward to continuing to work with them for a further two years."
Kershaw Group employs 183 people in Cambridge. It is made up of three companies producing industrial & commercial mechanical services, architectural metal roofing, insulation services and domestic heating installations.
The group is involved in significant building projects across the UK, including a £2m contract at the new Grand Arcade shopping centre in Cambridge.
Supporting football is very important to the group. One of its companies, Kershaw Mechanical Services Ltd, has been sponsoring the Cambridgeshire Football Association Premier Leagues for 18 years. Several of its staff play in the leagues, known locally as the "Kershaw Leagues".

The new home kit, which was unveiled at the end of June, will be worn for the first time in our first home game of the season against Oxford on August 16th. Replica home shirts are expected to be on sale in time for the opening game of the season and the current prices (adults £39.99/juniors £29.99) will be maintained again.
The new away kit will be worn for the first time in our opening Blue Square Premier game of the season, at York City on August 11th, and will be on sale later in the season. The shorts and socks will be white with black and amber trim.
