From The Physio
Physio Greg Reid gives us an update about the injured players.
It's all about midfielders this week, with three currently under treatment or recently returned to training.
Ritchie Hanlon made his long-awaited comeback at Tamworth two weeks ago following a knee operation but then suffered a calf injury in training and has been unavailable for the last two games. However, he was able to return to training on Monday and has suffered no adverse reaction.
Darren Quinton began light jogging yesterday after injuring his ankle in the friendly against Rushden last week.
"The injury is relatively minor and the ligament injured is different to the one he previously injured," explained Greg.
"If he continues to progress at the current rate he should be back in training within a couple of weeks."
However young midfielder Max Porter injured a hip flexor muscle yesterday in training. The injury will be allowed to settle over the next couple of days, but at this stage it looks as though he could be out for up to three weeks.
