Fresh from his starring moment in Friday's match, physio Greg Reid gives an update from the treatment room.

Greg Reid at workFriday's win against Tamworth was a hard-fought encounter and injuries were incurred to Fola Onibuje (bruised calf), Parys Okai (ankle ligament injury) and Courtney Pitt, who has bruising to the temple area of his head and may require a precautionary x-ray.

Non-contract defender Tommy Laws has recovered from surgery to the broken nose he suffered in the friendly game against Lincoln City last month and he will resume training this week.

Greg, who received applause for winning the 'race' with his Tamworth counterpart to reach two injured players during Friday's match, added, "In the interest of accurate reporting I would like to point out that, contrary to popular rumour, firstly I didn't stamp or trip on the injured Tamworth player, and secondly the Tamworth physio didn't try to trip me up.

"He seemed a really good guy, and in fact it was one of the Tamworth defenders who tripped me and brought my run to a somewhat abrupt halt! We all had a good laugh about it after the game and parted on good terms.

"I wish to report that my racing days are now over and I am retiring with an undefeated record. Henceforth I will only enter the field of play at a steady jog!"
