Treatment Room Update
Cambridge United physio Greg Reid updated the website on the status of the existing injuries within the squad.
Danny Potter sustained a shoulder injury during training in January and has subsequently been ruled out for the remainder of this season.
Greg told www.cambridgeunited.com , "Danny has successfully completed the first stage of his rehab programme following his acromio-clavicular joint injury. He is now working hard to increase the range of movement, strength and neuro-muscular control of the shoulder complex."
Meanwhile, Robbie Willmott was subbed off after suffering from a knee injury during United's clash at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday 20 February. "Mr Dennis Edwards, our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon has confirmed our initial diagnosis of a torn lateral cartilage. Robbie will undergo surgery to rectify the problem on Monday 1 March."
Simon Russell was also taken off at the weekend after taking a knock to his ankle. Initially the ankle was very painful, however it settled down quickly and the joint is stable. Simon was back in training today (Thursday) and his progress will be closely monitored.
