Parents' Code of Conduct

Posted on: Fri 23 Oct 2009

CAMBRIDGE UNITED DEVELOPMENT CENTRE AND SQUAD
PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Throughout the whole of our Development Centre programme we want all players to enjoy the sessions in a pressure free environment. To achieve this aim we need parents to adhere to the following code of conduct so that coaches and players can utilise the football time as best as possible.

Please ensure BEFORE TRAINING

  • Your son attends sessions in training kit suitable for the weather conditions
  • Your son's training garments are named
  • Your son has been to the toilet prior to the session to maximise playing time
  • Your son is at training at least 5 mins prior to the start and you deliver your son to the coach to ensure he is safe (do not just drop and leave without checking the coach is there to accept your son)
  • You inform Julie Ankers of any absence by email (youth.development@cambridge-united.co.uk) or calling the YD office

Please ensure DURING THE SESSION

  • You let the players play and the coaches coach
  • Refrain from having any input into the session as this may contradict the coach
  • Stay outside the coaching area
  • You leave personal possessions to the responsibility of the players, e.g. water bottle, tracksuit top etc to avoid children wandering off the astro-turf

Please ensure AFTER THE SESSION

  • You collect your son from the astro-turf - no players will be allowed off the astro unless an authorised collector is present (do not wait in your car)

The above code of conduct is taken very seriously by all CUYD members of staff as it is imperative that everyone adheres to these rules, which put the player's safety and enjoyment as our main priority.

If at any time you are unhappy with any incident that has happened during the session please contact the YD office via telephone or email and refrain from speaking to the coach on the night as he is responsible for other players.

We aim to provide safe, enjoyable and professional sessions and this can only be achieved for all with everyone's help!
