With everyone settling back into the school routine after the summer holidays, next week sees the start of the Football in the Community Scheme's in-school and after-school coaching activities.

The popular after-school programme begins on Monday, and over 30 schools have signed on for the coming term.  The Scheme will also be working in school with boys and girls of all ages and abilities at a number of other schools across the city.

Of course now that school has restarted, the next date to look out for is the October half term and, as Community Coach Mark Bonner explains, there's something for everyone on a half-term course.

"If you sometimes get bored in half term or just want a bit of excitement, then why not come along to our football fun days?" Mark (pictured) asks.

"The courses are open to anyone, boy or girl, advanced or beginner, from 4 years old up to 14 years old, so come along and play in a safe environment on one of our courses.

"There will be all-new games and competitions as well as the old favourites."

The courses take place from October 27th to 31st at the following venues:

Coldhams Common Cambridge*
Spicers Rec Sawston
Soham Town Rangers Football Club
Impington Village College
Linton Village College

*The Scheme is running specific courses for 4-6 year olds, 6-14 year olds, girls only, and goalkeepers at Coldhams Common.
