Summer Courses Prove Massive Hit
Over 650 children attended the soccer summer schools during what was the hottest summer in years. Congratulations to all children who attended for showing great, skill, sportsmanship and attitude.
The Football in the Community scheme would like to thank their sponsors - McDonalds, GF Men's Rooms, The Greyhound Pub and Restaurant and Sports Mania.
Their support enabled the scheme to offer such a fantastic week to the budding stars of tomorrow.
Thank you also to John Taylor and the players for their support and visits, and to Ricky Duncan and the Youth Team boys.
A special thanks goes to the injured Warren Goodhind, who traveled all over to take part in Question and Answer sessions, sign hundreds of autographs, and play 'Star Wars'.
Now that normality has returned with school days back again, the scheme are preparing to get back into the swing of things with in-school coaching programmes. They will be visiting around 30 schools over the next two months, so keep a look out for them.

Winners All On The Comberton Course
It's not long until the next half term! Details of all October Football Fun Days will be out soon.
Calling All Colts Clubs
The Football in the Community scheme is looking for Colts Teams to sign up to their Gold Package for Colts Clubs. As part of the package you will receive a training programme, reduced rate tickets, official club merchandise, and a match day visit.
However, your team doesn't have to sign up for a package to join in with the Match Day Experience. For a fantastic price you can take part in a tour of the Abbey Stadium, a training session, and settle down to watch Cambridge United play in a home League fixture.
