Cambridge United's Football in the Community Scheme follows up its successful half-term courses with details of 21 Summer Courses throughout the area. Book within the next week and get a 10% discount!

The Football in the Community courses during half-term proved to be highly successful and very enjoyable for all concerned. FITC Coach Mark Bonner commented, "In just four days we met more than 300 very enthusiastic boys and girls on courses in Linton, Sawston, Fulbourn, St Ives, Over, Ware and at Coldhams Common."

There is so much interest in the area that we are staging 21 courses throughout the Cambridge area between July 24th and September 1st. Some of these are in places where our Scheme is well-established, like Fulbourn, Swavesey, and Netherhall, but we are also revisiting venues we have not been to since last summer, such as Impington, Bottisham and Comberton.

A completely new venture is the Adidas Supernova two-day course for 6-14 year old boys and girls at Coldhams Common on July 24th and 25th. There will be lots of fun and games including shooting challenges and the chance to win a pair of football boots. All participants will receive a free Adidas T shirt.

Another new idea is a Ground Tour Youth Training Day when youngsters will be coached in preparation to play in a tournament by a Cambridge United Youth Team player, and there will also be a guided tour of the Abbey Stadium.

Further details of all these courses, including an A5 glossy leaflet, can be obtained by calling the FITC Office on 01223 416238. Alternatively you can download and print a MS Word file (66kb) containing further details and a booking form - click here.

Mark is urging people to book as early as possible: "We expect these courses to prove very popular indeed, so to avoid disappointment please book well in advance. We are offering a 10% discount on all bookings received before July 5th."
