Marvin the MooseHello and a warm welcome to this week's update from the Community team, or as the kids on our courses would say, 'ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Moose!'

Please be warned that any child you see at the match on Saturday afternoon may greet you with a modernized Moose Wave, a new feature generated by the children that have been attending our football courses throughout Cambridge. To Master the new wave place both hands beside your body, raising them slowly into the air before performing a moose!

If you or your child have attended, or indeed if you live near one of our venues, you would have not only seen these children displaying great ability but they are also in contention for pop idol! The courses so far this summer have provided kids with hours of fun and a great opportunity to make new friends, as well as provide our coaching team with a few hours of entertainment!

Stuart JacobsThe footballing ability has also been of a high standard, which should ensure a lively colts league for all ages this coming season.

The club's advanced centre and Centre of Excellence coaches have also been impressed, which may see one of our budding stars going all the way to the first team in the future.

There is still some of the summer holiday left so if you are interested in playing football, making new friends, and quite simply having a fun time, call the community office on 01223 416238 for more details on how to book on a course.

If you are celebrating a birthday in the next nine months and are interested in holding a Cambridge United Birthday party, now is the time to call us and book a date closest to your birthday!

If you belong to a local team, scout group etc you can also enjoy a whole day here at the Abbey, receive excellent coaching tips, a tour of the ground and a chance to see the first team play by booking one of Match Day Visit packages throughout the season.

For further details of the above packages please phone the Community Office 01223 416238.
