St Johns Go Smoby Crazy

Andy Coles, East Cambridge Community Coach for Cambridge United, recently spent the afternoon with year 5 and 6 pupils at St Johns School in Ely, christening the new Smoby Table.

St Johns Go Smoby Crazy
It wasn't just an excuse for Andy to play table football though, the aim of the event was to find a champion Smoby table footballer to represent Cambridge United, in the area finals to be held at Colchester United on the 16th March.
Other teams that will be represented are Norwich City, Millwall, Leyton Orient, Charlton Athletic, Colchester United, West Ham United, Southend United and Crystal Palace.
The winner on the afternoon at St Johns was Nathan Smith, and for Nathan this will mean four tickets for the Colchester v QPR Match, and a presentation at half time on the pitch.
If Nathan is successful in the area finals he could go on to the grand finals which are to be held in Liverpool's Trophy Room at Anfield during the week commencing 15th April.
Now in its 5th year, it is anticipated that over 10,000 boys and girls under 11 will take part in this year's competition.
Good luck Nathan
