Cambridge United are holding OPEN TRIALS for next season's Under 13's, 14's, 15's and 16's.

If you were offered a place in our Development Squads, it would involve a weekly training session and matches against other professional clubs in school holidays. Most importantly, it allows you to still play and train with your Colts League Club.

A place in our Centre of Excellence means training twice weekly and playing solely for Cambridge United in our Centre of Excellence games programme.

Current First Team Players - Josh Coulson & Robbie Willmott were both signed from Colts League Clubs and gained a Scholarship at Cambridge United. Details for the trials are as follows:

Venue: Linton Village College (3G Astro), Cambridge Road, Linton, CB21 4JB

Dates: Saturday 26th June 2010 (Under 13's & 14's) or Sunday 27th June 2010 (Under 15's & 16's)
(2010/2011 season age groups)

Times: Saturday 26th June 2010, U13's - 9am - 12pm, U14's - 1pm - 4pm, Sunday 27th June 2010, U15's - 9am - 12pm, U16's - 1pm - 4pm

What you need: Footwear suitable for both grass and 3rd Generation astro-turf pitches, shin pads, water bottle, suitable clothing.

There are limited spaces available, so please make sure that you complete and return the attached application form to Marc Tracy, Cambridge Utd Youth Development, R Costings Abbey Stadium, Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LN as soon as possible.

Although there is no charge for this trial, you will NOT be able to just turn up and play on the day. Please ring 01223 729204 or e-mail youth.development@cambridge-united.co.uk with any queries. Parents are asked to drop off and collect at the times listed above and should NOT stay to watch.
