Cambridge United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Marc Tracy as the new Centre of Excellence Manager.

Marc will start his role on 1 May having served notice with his current club Southend United. Director of Football Jez George said "Following Matt Walker's departure to Watford, it was very important to find the right man to continue his hard work and develop the scheme still further. In Marc we feel we have exactly that person and we are delighted to have secured his services.

"I have known Marc for a number of years and he will bring tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm to the role, and in addition he shares our philosophy on how to develop young players. We feel he will be a real asset for the youth scheme and we are grateful to Southend United for their co-operation with our discussions over the last few weeks."

Marc will be attending two tours over the Easter period to enable him to see the majority of players he will be working with before assuming his full time role at the end of the season.
