Colts and Mini League Managers
There was a superb attendance for the 3rd Annual Colts and Mini League Managers Evening, where local Managers and coaches were invited in to observe a coaching session by Nolan Keeley, Technical Director (pictured), with some players from our U10 and U11 Centre of Excellence Squads.
The theme for the evening was 'Being Comfortable in Possession' and Nolan worked through a number of progressions, with the appropriate detail, to move the theme forward from basic technical work to a small-sided game.
The evening also provided an opportunity for an insight into the philosophy of the Youth Development Department, from the U18 full-time two-year scholarship programme to the Centre of Excellence to the Development Centres and Squads. We discussed how the Scheme worked and our vision for the future of how we would like to build the link between clubs throughout the region and ourselves.
Our sponsor Sports Travel International were also in attendance, distributing information about tours both in England and abroad.
The evening finished with questions from the floor about the work we do and from coaches looking to improve their own work within local clubs.
