At the end of a magnificent and progressive season both on and off the pitch, on behalf of myself and the Board of Directors I thank the players and management staff for their efforts in finishing second in the league and reaching the Play-off Final at Wembley.

Thanks must also go to the staff who have worked extremely hard throughout the year and put in many extra hours, and the volunteers who have so ably backed them up.

And of course thanks to the fans, whose magnificent support has drawn comment and admiration from Clubs up and down the country.

The Club is in great shape on and off the pitch, and the current finances are better than they have been for a long, long time. During the course of this season Norman Gautrey, George Rolls and Terry Baker have joined us and strengthened the management structure immeasurably, which helps us to look ahead with confidence and direction.

We have enjoyed a great season that has exceeded expectations and provided several memorable moments, not least the FA Cup third round tie at Wolves and of course Wembley last weekend.

There have been so many highlights this season and next season already looks really exciting, beginning with the pre-season friendlies already announced and those to be confirmed. I feel, as I am sure you do, that we will be there or thereabouts again next season. We have some very promising and talented players here and the gaffer has identified one or two players he wants to add to the squad.

He has the resources in his playing budget to do that, and I'm feeling very positive about the new season - I can't wait for it to get going.

Have a great summer.
