Brian Attmore has been re-elected as Cambridge United's Fans Elected Director.

He was voted in again by members of the fans trust, Cambridge Fans United, in a recent ballot and the result was announced at the CFU AGM on Monday evening.

"I welcome the opportunity given me by CFU members to continue in the role of Fans Director for the next two years," Brian commented today.

"I think it shows their faith in the role because I'm just a custodian of it and they can see what a fans director can do.

"In terms of the role, I'd like to think that I've taken it on and made the role important by taking the views and objectives of CFU, then assimilating them into the fabric and policies of the club.

"It's about gaining trust and respect and influencing people on the board, getting them to change their way of thinking."

Added Brian, "I would like to thank everyone who has joined CFU over the past few seasons and all who took part in this election."

Brian can be contacted via fansdirector@cambridgefansunited.org and is available to meet with supporters on matchdays.

Major shareholder Paul Barry recently acknowledged Brian's achievements in the role, saying, "During the dark days he became acting Chairman, and Brian has worked very diligently and harmoniously on various relationships - the VP Club, the Supporters Club, United in Learning, CRC, FITC to name a few.

"I fully support what Brian has done, and very importantly, the integrity with which he has done it. He has provided a sounding board and moral support to many of us on the Board during its darkest days."
