Trophy Away Travel: Salisbury 9 Feb

Posted on: Tue 09 Feb 2010

SALISBURY CITY

Raymond McEnhill Stadium
Partridge Way
Old Sarum
Salisbury
Wilts
SP4 6PU

Tuesday 9 February, 7.45pm

Directions by Car: Leave the M3 at Junction 8 and merge onto the A303. Exit the A303 at the Amesbury Junction - A345 (signposted Salisbury). Proceed along the A345 for 5-6 miles, passing through High Post (with a golf course to the left). Then at the large roundabout, turn left into Portway. Pass straight over the mini-roundabout, before taking the next left into Partridge Way. The Raymond McEnhill Stadium can be found at the end of this road.

Parking: £2 for a space at the ground.

Train: Salisbury's ground is in Old Sarum, around three miles from the train station. A taxi may well be the best bet. If you attempt the walk, find your way, via Churchill Way West onto Castle Road (A345) and follow it out of the town for over 2 miles. On reaching Old Sarum, turn right into Portway and left, a little further along, into Partridge Way. Really isn't a great idea to walk.

The Away Travel Club will be running a 33-seater coach to the game, priced at £24.50 for non-members, £22 for members and £14 for under 16s. It is due to leave Ely at 2.00pm and the R Costings Abbey Stadium at 2.45pm.

Contact the Club on 01223 566500 to reserve your space.

Admission: Adults £12, Concessions £8, Under 16s £4. £2 transfer to seating. The adult and concessionary prices have been reduced by £1 for the Trophy tie.

Programme: £2.50

Pre-Match: There is very little in the vicinity and City tend not to admit away supporters to their supporters club. The centre of Salisbury is worth a wander around, but it's unlikely you'll have the time or inclination on a cold February night. It's a shame the ground is on the outskirts really.

Stonehenge isn't far away, but, thinking about it, you're best saving all this for the league game in April, when those dastardly clocks will have trudged forward.
