FEEDBACK ON OUR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COACHES

Check out some of the feedback about our Youth Development coaches here.

On two occasions Zachary spotted a familiar face, the first being his coach, Luke, to whom he ran the length of the side line to say hello and to shake his hand. The second was yourself, who he had been waiting most of the morning to see.  As soon as he was able, just before we left, he ran full pace across the pitch to get to you, simply to shake your hand.  It was at this point, watching you get down to his level, it occurred to me just what it meant to him as a 7 year old boy.  His face told it all, at that one moment, he felt proud, he felt important and as if he mattered.

Thank you both so very much for making Felix’s birthday so amazing. It was superbly organised and all the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

I’d like to give a special shout out to the coach Harvey. Not only did he do a brilliant job taking the boys on the tour of the stadium, the changing rooms and meeting the players (he even took my camera with him to take photos) but he also let me know exactly what was happening at every stage of the afternoon. And then of course he organised the boys for the guard of honour and the mini match at half time.

Once again thank you so much for all your efforts. We all had a fantastic time and it really was a memorable experience, not only for Felix, but for all the boys – it rocked!

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone for making Thomas so welcome at the football match. I can honestly say that every single member of staff were brilliant. Due to Thomas having Cerebral Palsy he does struggle quite a lot with his mobility. Every person that came in contact with Thomas were so accommodating and helpful and nothing felt rushed or too much trouble. From the moment we arrived at the shop, being shown round, the players, the ground staff, the coaches, the captain of the football club who Thomas was fortunate enough to walk out on to the pitch with, took so much care when handling Thomas. Sometimes days out can be a struggle but it was such a pleasure to have an experience that was so well organised and relaxed.
