PREVIEW:

CONFIDENCE IS BACK AND CONTINUED PROGRESS IS THE NOW THE AIM FOR CAMBRIDGE UNITED STRIKER ADAM MCGURK.

The 27-year old forward has played an important role during United’s resurgence in recent weeks and feels that the U’s have all the capabilities to kick their season right back into life on their current form.

He commented: “Confidence is back up where it should be with the results turning in recent weeks. We all have a belief that we can be a good team and I think that we will only keep progressing.

“The first win was obviously important and until we got those three points it was obviously playing on our minds a little bit, about when the first win was going to come.

“I think we’ve been able to create momentum from the way we came back in that game, going 1-0 down at Newport, before showing some real strength in character to win, which has given us a huge lift.

“We have obviously kicked on from there but we know there’s still plenty of hard work to done. We are on the right track.”
