CAMBRIDGE UNITED SUPPORT EFL ENJOY THE MATCH CAMPAIGN AS WE SAY NO TO BAD LANGUAGE!

Cambridge United are set to pledge their commitment towards the EFL Enjoy the Match Campaign at this weekend's clash with Crawley Town, to ensure the match day experience is enjoyable for all.

The U's have joined arms with all EFL clubs across the country, in supporting the League-wide commitment to saying no to bad language and aggressive behaviour on match day at the Cambs Glass Stadium.

Junior and family attendances across the EFL has risen significantly over recent seasons, a ringing endorsement of clubs' extensive work to reach out, attract and engage with families. Supporting all of this work is the EFL's Enjoy the Match Campaign, an initiative that for many seasons has helped clubs to promote a zero-tolerance policy on anti-social behaviour in family areas.

The Enjoy the Match campaign can be seen across all EFL league stadia including the Cambs Glass Stadium where signs have been erected, with Cambridge United viewing the initiative as playing a crucial role in helping the club to attract more families and young supporters to matches.

Following the successful introduction of the CFU Fans' Charter last season and ahead of the launch of next season's Marvin's 20-Game Ticket which aims to produce the next generation of the Amber Army, the Club is determined to continue its commitment towards making the Cambs Glass Stadium a family friendly environment.

Saturday marks the U's final home game of the season and the U's have lined up a host of exciting pre-match activities in front of the South Stand led by our very own Marvin the Moose, coinciding with the Enjoy the Match Campaign.

Meanwhile, supporters will also be able to get behind the Enjoy the Match campaign through social media with the use of our branded match day Snapchat Geofilter upon arrival at the Cambs Glass Stadium.

Cambridge United Chairman Dave Doggett commented: "Here at Cambridge United we want our fans to feel safe and part of a vibrant exciting match day experience.

"We ask all supporters to encourage the players, respect the match officials and help to create a great atmosphere inside the Cambs Glass Stadium. The increased number of junior supporters and families attending our matches in recent seasons is a sign that we are continuing to build a fan base for the future.

"The Enjoy the Match campaign provides supporters with the opportunity to raise any issues with the club in confidence."

EFL Chief Executive Shaun Harvey added: "So many of our clubs are now displaying innovative and engaging ways in which they are interacting with families and junior fans. There has never been a better time to visit your local EFL club on a match day, and enjoy the sorts of entertainment clubs are now providing to ensure the experience stretches well beyond the ninety minutes on the pitch.

"The new club-branded Enjoy the Match campaign materials are another vital cog in the wheel to ensure that the hard work being undertaken by clubs in providing such experiences, are not undermined by unwanted anti-social behaviour in family areas. Clubs are vigilant in this area and need fans' support to ensure everyone attending can Enjoy the Match."
